Amazing collections in a listed building

Although Durbuy is generally known for its charming stone houses and its small paved streets, you can now discover “the world’s most beautiful town” through its Modern and Contemporary Art Museum!

Established at the Wheat Hall, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Durbuy (MAMCD) is in the center of the old town. Before starting the visit, take the time to appreciate, from the outside, this superb building dating back to the 16th century, classified as exceptional heritage of Wallonia and which will not fail to impress you.

Just as magnificent is the inside of the building, which was renovated in 2014, and extends over 3 floors.  Here you will discover numerous pieces including bright and colorful watercolors by Marcel Lucas, a Belgian artist from the 20th century.

In addition to its permanent collection, temporary exhibitions focused on Belgian art and its diversity are also organized twice a year.
